Numeric Pagers receive messages that
are comprised only of numbers. Callers simply dial the pager number, then
after the greeting enter the phone number they want the pager user to
call them back at.
Numeric messages can be up to 20 numbers.
Some companies develop in-house codes for numbers. For example, 911 could
indicate “emergency.” Combining 911 with a phone number would
mean to call the phone number immediately.
